Lycoming T53 Turboshaft Engine Components Diagram


This is Lycoming T53 turboshaft engine that was commonly used for helicopter and fixed wing aircraft since the 1950’s. This turboshaft engine was designed by Anselm Franz and this engine had been applied on military application since the World War II. T53 was completed with 5 stages axial compressor and 1 stage centrifugal compressor which was able to provide 1,400 shp maximum power output on its application. T53 is an annular reverse flow, free-power turbine powerplant developed for both rotary and fixed aircraft.
