Ford Ranger Ignition Wiring Diagram 2.8L and 2.9L Engine

This is ignition wiring diagram for Ford Ranger. This ignition wiring diagram is Ford Ranger model year 1983 until 1988. This starter wiring diagram is especially for 2.8L and 2.9L engine. Ford ranger model year 1983-1988 is the first generation of this truck car, available engines were the 72 hp (54 kW) 2.0 L and 86 hp (64 kW) 2.3 L OHC four-cylinders, a four-cylinder 59 hp (44 kW) 2.2 L Mazda/Perkins diesel, and a 115 hp (86 kW) 2.8 L Cologne V6. In 1985, a Mitsubishi-built 2.3 L turbodiesel with 86 hp (64 kW) replaced the Mazda diesel engine, and in 1986, the 2.8 L engine was replaced with a 140 hp (104 kW) 2.9 L Cologne V6.     I have 1989, 2.9 L Ranger. I was driving along and motor died, I have replaced Coil but still no fire.Have any Ideas?

    There is an inertia on the passenger side of your truck, just under the floor mat undrer the dash. it is a safety switch to shut of your fuel in the event of an accident, it has a small red reset on the side, If switch is not functional make a jumper to complete the circuit temporarly.

    i have a 85-86 ford ranger its getting fuel, starts up fine than dies no spark changed dist module put a used coil on some one told me its the computer also theres a relay located right next to the computer on pass side interior whats this relay?
